Welcome

Welcome to our practice website. The Roseland Peninsula is one of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall and we feel extremely privileged  to serve our community here. We are one of Cornwall’s smallest General Practices and consequently are able to offer the sort of personalised service that our patients appreciate.

Our main surgery  is at Portscatho but we also run busy branch sites at St Mawes and Tregony. We hope this website will provide a useful introduction to our team and answer any questions that you may have. We are glad to take on new  patients from the surrounding area and regularly see holiday makers too.

DO YOU HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS? - it is hugely helpful to us to have different ways of contacting patients.  If you have an email address, do please let us have the details!

MOBILE TELEPHONE NUMBERS: As we can now text patients with non-urgent messages, a mobile phone number is very handy for us to have. If you have a mobile, please could you let us have your number.  Please remember to update us if you should change your number in the future.                                                                                 Many thanks!!

A very special thank you:-

Roseland Surgeries would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who has been so incredibly supportive to us over the past few months as we have traversed our way through the COVID pandemic.

We would like to thank our patients for their understanding and patience as we had to rapidly change the way in which we delivered medical services.  Adapting to telephone/video consultations has not  been without its teething problems, but for many patients this has enabled access to a clinician without the need to worry about coming out.  Many routine processes have been put on hold, but we are now seeing a return to almost ‘normal’ and we’re able to offer medication collections once more from branch sites.

We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the army of volunteers across the Roseland who have not only helped the surgery to deliver medication to our most vulnerable residents, but also to those who put together Meals on Wheels, engineered shopping services, the street coordinators offering pastoral care etc to their neighbours and friends. The list of your achievements over the past few months is magnificent and we cannot underestimate the benefits of being a good neighbour – it has undoubtedly been a lifeline to many.  You are too many to mention here, but you know who you are and we are eternally grateful for your support.  We have such a wonderful community here on the Roseland.

Massive thanks also to Roseland Online for posting the very many updates we kept sending over to them, as and when we received them from NHS England (at its height, 3-4 a day!)

We must give our thanks to the following people for providing us with their spare personal protective equipment when we were struggling to access stocks ourselves:  Nathan Wheeler (Wheeler Roofing), Simon Cundy, David Brookes and the team at Roseland Dental Practice,  Paul Coombe (from his base in Hong Kong), Ivo Tedbury,  and the children from Richard Lander and Truro Schools who made 3D-printed vizors

We continue to act vigilantly and are asking anyone attending the surgery to wear face coverings where possible.  We are maintaining social distancing and will continue to act within the parameters of government guidance.  Updated information will be posted on our surgery website and Roseland Online as frequently as we are able to do so.

With our sincere thanks to you all
